Do I need a reservation to paint?
We are a walk-in studio everyday 10am – 9pm. No appointments needed!
Do you throw clay or use a pottery wheel at the studio?
No, we are a paint-your-own-pottery studio where you pick a piece of bare bisque (clay once it’s been fired once) and paint it however you like! We will clear glaze it and fire it to be ready for pick up one week after you paint.
Do you allow BYOB?
Yes! You can bring in drinks, snacks, etc.
What are your prices?
We charge an $10 studio fee per painter plus the cost of whatever pottery piece you pick to paint! Each piece is individually priced. The average price range of the pottery is about $20-$35 a piece, but we have pieces in all price ranges.
What kind of pottery pieces do you offer to paint?
We pride ourselves in having the best selection you can find! We are always sure to have some of everything.
How long does it take to paint a piece?
This can depend on your design idea and the size of the piece, but most guests usually spend about an hour and a half painting. We have no time limits. You can even bring it back to finish if you run out of time.
How long does my pottery take to fire and when will it be ready for pickup?
Your pieces will be glazed, fired and ready for pick up one week after you paint! Did you know our kilns reach over 1800 degrees! This is where our magic happens!
How long do you hold on to pieces after they’re fired?
Your pottery will be ready for pickup within a week after you paint. We can hold on to your pottery for up to 30 days. After that we donate pieces.
Are food and drink allowed?
You are more than welcome to bring any food or drinks if you’d like! We do like to inform you that some oils in food and drinks can cause firing issues with your pottery. For that reason, it is recommended to wash your hands in between painting and eating.
Are your paints non-toxic and washable?
All of our glazes are not only non-toxic, but also water based. They easily wash out of clothes with water!
Do you have project samples or techniques for painting?
Yes! We have over 15 specialty techniques, over a dozen specialty glazes with special effects, and hundreds of project sheets on our website.
